SUMMER TOUR

Already Gone' was an acclaimed tour of new and old music in 2021 that spanned 9 centuries and reached audiences across the UK. Echo took their "sparkling, poised and subtly powerful" programme (The Arts Desk )to live audiences in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Lancaster, as well as reaching digital audiences online with an innovative hybrid concert experience. From Benjamin Britten's beautiful setting of Five Flower Songs to ANOHNI's call to arms, the programme took listeners on a journey that both celebrated nature's abundance and warned of future scarcity, keeping the climate emergency at its forefront. The performance also featured brand new pieces by Lillie Harris and Rory Wainwright-Johnston, the joint winning composers of Echo's inaugural Composition Competition, alongside new music by shortlisted composers James Brady and Janet Oates.
